Where on Earth Surveying is a Pennsylvania land surveying company in preparation. This policy covers this website (whereonearth.work) and the company's client, employee, field, office, and HR apps (together, the "Services").
Information collected on this website
The "Request a Survey" form is the only place this public website collects personal information. If you submit it, we collect your name, email address, phone number, property address or parcel information, the service you're interested in, and any project details you provide. This is stored securely and used only to follow up with you about a potential survey — it is not a booking, quote, or contract, and submitting it does not create one.
Information collected through the company apps
The client, employee, field, office, and HR workspaces are private company accounts, not public sign-up. Accounts are created by the company for authorized clients, employees, and contractors. Depending on your role, records may include your contact information, property and parcel details, project and job records, assignment and scheduling information, and — as those features are built — employment and payroll-related information. Information entered by one authorized user (for example, office staff recording a customer or job) is shared only with other company accounts whose role and job assignment require it.
Cookies & local storage
The company apps use a session cookie to keep you signed in. This website and the apps use your browser's local storage only for small on-device conveniences, such as remembering that you dismissed an "install this app" prompt. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
How we use information
To respond to survey requests, operate your company account, deliver and support the Services, keep accurate project and business records, and meet our legal and professional obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except service providers who help us run the Services (such as hosting and cloud infrastructure), or where required by law.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected — for example, following up on a survey request, or maintaining project and professional records — or as required by law or professional recordkeeping obligations.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website and the Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
